Theme: New activities of EU-OSHA: Making Europe’s workplaces safer and more productive.
At present Dietmar Elsler is working as a Project Manager at the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work in Bilbao (EU-OSHA), Spain. He is coordinating the content generation for the current European campaign 2012-13 “Working together for risk prevention”, focussing on OSH leadership and worker participation. Furthermore, he is responsible for projects on OSH benchmarking and the economic aspects of occupational safety, such as the cost of non-OSH to the society, cost-benefit analysis of OSH interventions or how to create economic incentives for better OSH.
Dietmar Elsler has worked in health and safety since 1996. Before joining the European Agency in 2006 he was project manager at BAuA (Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin – Federal OSH Institute of Germany), first in the international affairs unit in Dortmund and then in the strategy unit in Berlin.
